How to Run an Adoption Puzzle Fundraiser with Puzzle4Life™

A step-by-step guide for adoptive families: sell individual Puzzle4Life™ pieces to donors, tell your story, and fund your adoption journey.

For Adoptive families, agencies, and community sponsors · Updated 2026-07-09

An adoption puzzle fundraiser turns each Puzzle4Life™ piece into a tangible thank-you a donor can hold. Every sponsored piece funds a step of your adoption and becomes part of a keepsake puzzle you gift back to your community.

Why a puzzle fundraiser works for adoption

A physical piece gives donors a lasting memento of their contribution — more personal than a receipt, and easy to share on social media. It also lets you sponsor pieces at multiple price points so friends, family, and strangers can all take part.

Set your goal and price per piece

Divide your adoption cost into visible milestones so donors see progress.

    • Total fundraising goal (e.g. $10,000)
    • Number of pieces (e.g. 100 wooden Puzzle4Life™ pieces)
    • Price per sponsored piece (e.g. $100)
    • Optional bundle tiers (7-piece flower set, custom message piece)

    Prepare your Puzzle4Life™ pieces

Order a wooden set or use printable pieces to start immediately. Personalize each piece with a trait, a family name, or a milestone from your adoption story.

    • Choose 7 traits that reflect your family journey — hope, courage, patience, love, faith, community, home
    • Add donor names or dedications to individual pieces after they are sponsored
    • Photograph the growing puzzle at each milestone

    Launch and share the campaign

Model the launch on the /kindness campaign structure: a landing page, a QR code, and clear next steps.

    • Post the fundraising page with your story and goal
    • Share a QR code that opens the sponsor form
    • Update supporters weekly with photos of newly claimed pieces
    • Thank each donor with the piece they sponsored, mailed or hand-delivered

Close the loop with a gift back

When the puzzle is complete, gift the assembled seven-piece set — or a photograph of it — back to key supporters, the adoption agency, or your child once they are older. The completed puzzle becomes a physical record of the community that made the adoption possible.
